Ecosulis congratulate Dr Alan Feest their Research Director on his recognition as a leading UK ecologist following his review and interview by the Chartered Institute of Ecologists and Ecological Managers. Dr Feest who is already a Fellow of CIWEM joins an elite group of chartered ecologists whose life-time contribution to the furtherance of ecology in the UK is being recognised by this new accreditation.

Dr Feest specialised originally in the ecology of soil organisms but in recent years in the measurement of biodiversity and the application of this to providing habitat creation and biodiversity offsetting.  This expertise has been facilitated by the creation of a habitat biodiversity quality calculator the use of which speeds and standardises habitat biodiversity measurement and its application in compensation schemes and habitat creation. He continues to publish papers on both the theory of biodiversity measurement and on its practical application. As such this mirrors Ecosulis’s ecological consultany's forward looking strategy looking to provide services that will be needed in the 21st century.
