Contracting role: Ecosulis implemented the Mitigation Strategy following approval of an Appropriate Assessment.

Works included the design, creation and installation of interpretation boards at access points onto the Special Protection Area (SPA); improving access onto the SPA with the installation of kissing gates; preparation and supply of welcome packs for new residents, aimed at minimising disturbance from recreation activities; initial woodland management on land adjacent to the SPA to improve its amenity value, with the aim of reducing recreational pressures on the SPA; and the design and installation of ‘fire’ warning signs along the SPA boundaries.
