The timely implementation of ecological mitigation projects is often a fundamental part of ensuring that projects are delivered on time. The departments within Ecosulis work closely together to ensure that all project programming requirements are understood through both the consulting and contracting process. This results in a seamless service and avoids the time delays that clients might experience when using separate contractors.

We provide mitigation in many forms and under licence where appropriate, including:

• Badger sett closures, including installation of gates, installation of badger fencing and destruction of setts
• Badger mitigation, including design and installation of artificial setts, habitat enhancement such as planting of native fruit-bearing trees and establishment of connective corridors
• Bat mitigation, including roost exclusion, roost creation, erection of bat boxes, capture and release and pre- and soft demolition surveys
• Dormouse mitigation, including erection of nest boxes, capture and release and ecological Clerk of Works
• Otter mitigation, including creation of artificial holts, design and supervision of otter pass installation and ecological Clerk of Works
• Water vole mitigation, including design and creation of new watercourses, trapping and relocation, erection of water vole fencing and ecological Clerk of Works
• Great crested newt mitigation, including erection of temporary amphibian fencing, erection of permanent amphibian fencing, installation of pitfall traps, translocation exercises, ecological Clerk of Works, watching brief and destructive searches
• Reptile mitigation, including erection of temporary reptile fencing, erection of permanent reptile fencing, installation of artificial refugia, translocation exercises, ecological Clerk of Works, watching brief and destructive searches
• Bird mitigation, including erection of bird boxes, installation of bird deterrents, vegetation management and clearance, ecological Clerk of Works and watching brief
