Education & Health

Ecological consultancy and contracting services for education and health sites, including schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, and care/retirement homes.

Ecosulis has a proven track record of taking an innovative approach to education and health projects that ensures designs and plans are accepted by the relevant statutory consultees and that the needs of biodiversity, trees and development are balanced.

We understand that extension or refurbishment projects relating to education and health sites often have less scope for biodiversity enhancements than residential or commercial developments due to the presence of existing facilities and infrastructure. Similarly, there are fewer alternative locations for new projects and these tend to be restricted by legislation, planning policy, transport networks, economic viability and the presence of existing facilities.

Ecosulis has the experience to deliver tailor-made and cost-effective solutions to help education and health projects remain on time and on budget from inception to completion. We can also contribute towards gaining the appropriate credits for BREEAM Healthcare and BREEAM Schools and have some additional experience in gaining credits under BREEAM Bespoke, acting as a "Suitably Qualified Ecologist". We operate throughout the UK and work with our clients to identify potential ecological and arboricultural constraints and opportunities at the outset, to avoid costly delays at the later stages of a project. With our in-depth knowledge of current legislation and environmental policy, we can devise strategies to avoid conflict, deliver projects and achieve positive biodiversity gain.
